| Once
again I find myself in a position of playing catch up. Since my last
feeble attempt to bring friends and family up to date we have been
through three countries, and we are currently visiting the fourth. Our
time here, for Karen at least, is more than just a visit. Karen is here
in Jordan working on a project sponsored by USAID for the Jordanian
Securities Commision. So while Karen toils tirelessly trying to help
cement relations with one of the few tentative friends we have in this
part of the world, I find myself running out of excuses for my
lethargy. So in the days to come, I will try to keep those of you
interested up to date with our evening and weekend excursions in
Jordan, and who knows, maybe I'll even get the ambition to go back and
fill in some of the gaps about Thailand, Laos, and Malaysia. Stranger things have happened. If we get that far, maybe I can go into why--after nine-and-a-half months we decided to foresake the motorcycles. For now though, this page will serve as Home for our time in Jordan. eye opened for links back to those missing countries--and yes, I
remember that I've also left some big gaps in the area of the west
coast of India, but come on, it was the beach, let's try to maintain
some reasonable expectations. |
